Agra celebrated the reopening of the bigger and better branch in Karibib on Friday, 24 February 2017. The new branch was celebrated with the entire public, offering items on specials and promotions. Agra suppliers joined the event to host competitions and offer prizes to customers.
Agra Karibib branch boasts sufficient retail area of 1,000 m² consisting of shelves, cashiers and administration offices; cement store of 98 m²; salt store of 36 m² and a newly constructed receiving cage of 30 m². Paul Freyer, Agra Karibib branch manager said that the branch provides more space, ensuring that clients enjoy convenient shopping in the new retail outlet. “Our customer’s convenience is very important to us, and that is why we have added more space to offer new product ranges to clients.”
The Karibib branch is the fourth branch in Namibia to add new product ranges from DIY Depot and hardware, adding to its existing selections of camping and outdoor, gardening tools and the traditional agricultural goods and services. Mr Freyer could not hold his excitement when asked about what customers can expect when they enter the new branch. He said: “Customers can look forward to exceptional customer service, building supply delivery, expert advice, extensive product ranges and competitive pricing. Furthermore, we take pride in providing personalised services to our clients. Our trained staff are recommitted to serving the Tsumeb community. And there free spacious parking.”
Agra remains committed to bring serves closer to the people. When asked about what the new Agra Karibib branch means to the nation, Tobie Barlow, Agra’s General Manager for Retail and Wholesale explained that the new branch will enable the inhabitants to successfully partake in the agriculture value chain. “It confirms that Agra Limited is Namibia’s leading agriculture industry role player, providing agricultural and industry related products and services to Namibian producers and major industry players. It further shows Agra’s confidence in investing into local communities by creating opportunities for the Namibian community to benefit from both the availability of products as well as advice and expertise regarding the optimal use of various products. We will continue to expand our services countrywide to meet the growing demand of customers,” he proudly said.
Agra Karibib can be found on the same erf, but with a different entrance in Simkovsky Street, to allow for free flow of traffic. Arnold Klein, Agra CEO noted that Agra as a proudly Namibian company will continue to reinvestment in Namibian infrastructure, as part of the company’s growth and expansion in Namibia. “Agra realises the importance of adequate facilities for good customer service. A number of branches have received major upgrades since 2009, including Mariental, Keetmanshoop, Karasburg, Rehoboth, Grootfontein, Okahandja, Opuwo and Tsumeb,” he explained. He continued by saying: “Agra also invested largely in new infrastructure with the building of new branches in Oshivelo, Agra Hyper Centre in the Lafrenz Industrial Area in Windhoek, DIY Depot in Okahandja and Agra branch in Rundu. Agra’s Auas Valley Shopping Mall was upgraded and expanded and has since become one of Windhoek’s favourite shopping destinations. There are still a number of branches that need to be upgraded and work on these branches will be done as resources become available.”
Agra’s mission is to be a market leader in agriculture and household related products and services, while its vision is to set the benchmark in their chosen markets benefitting all their stakeholders on a sustainable basis.
