BENNY AMUENJE NEW AGRA BOARD MEMBER

During Agra Limited Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 2 December 2016, there was election of directors retiring by rotation in accordance with the Company’s Articles of Association. Agra bid farewell to Mr Peter Schonecke, and welcomed Mr Benny Amuenje as a new board member. Mr Schonecke was congratulated for his inputs, sacrifices and contributions throughout the years that helped to build Agra to where it is now. Mr Jesko Woermann was re-elected to serve for another term.

Upon his appointment, Mr Amuenje shared his vision for Agra, as follows:
•    Agra to be the Supplier of choice for all farmers.
•    Agra to be the leader in the capacity building for all farmers, both communal and commercial.
•    Agra’s programs to be aligned to the National Harambee Prosperity Plan.
•    Agra to continue to be a major contributor to the growth of the National Economy through the Agricultural Sector.
•    Agra to become more innovative and creative in addressing the needs of their broad spectrum customers. 

The Agra Board of Directors are: Ryno van der Merwe (Chairperson), Ben Mouton, Benny Amuenje, Stephan von Seydlitz, Jan Visagie, Jesko Woermann and Leon van Wyk. Mr van der Merwe, thanked the Agra Board of Directors for their continued loyalty to Agra and the serious manner in which they undertake their responsibility towards the company.
