AGRA celebrated the commencement of the upgrade and extension of the Auas Valley Shopping Mall in the Southern Industrial Area of Windhoek, with the groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, 13 August at the Auas Valley premises. This N$220-million development will offer a modern top-class retail environment, securing and expanding market share due to a new contemporary design that offers more choice and excitement. 


The new retail mix will include a great variety of shops such as Steers, Debonairs, Fish Away, Fresh & Wild, Pep Home (the first in Namibia), SA Electronics, Silverberry, A selection of gold and silver jewelry outlets, a Sushi restaurant, Classic Pet Boutique, and many more, besides the existing brands such as Pick n Pay, Nictus, Agra, Safari Den and hair salons. The new and improved mall will also house a pharmacy and doctors rooms.

The new development situated in the Lafrenz industrial area will have direct access from the B1 national road; provide wider carriageways for larger vehicles, ample parking area and loading platforms for added convenience in loading and offloading of bulk stock and large equipment supplies according to Henning Tiemann, Senior manager Properties at Agra.


The professional team consists of Axel Dainat Architects, Dawn Adams Quantity Surveyors, Seelenbinder Consulting Engineers, Namibia Construction and Menduletu Planning and Development consultants.
