2026 AGRA EXPANDS ITS NAMIBIAN FOOTPRINT
Agra Expands Its Namibian Footprint Through Strategic Investment and Community Development, 21 August 2026.
Agra is proud to announce the opening and expansion of several branches across Namibia, reaffirming its commitment to investing in the country, creating opportunities and delivering A Better Life to the communities it serves.
As a proudly Namibian company, Agra remains rooted in agriculture while continuously adapting its products and services to meet the changing needs of its customers. These latest developments represent a significant investment in Namibia’s retail, agricultural and service sectors.
The opening of the new Agra Stampriet retail branch strengthens Agra’s presence in the region and provides improved access to products and services for the farming community, local residents and schools.
The branch is designed to support the needs of agricultural customers while offering greater convenience to the wider community.
In Swakopmund, Agra has expanded its offering through the opening of Agra Safari Den. The store provides customers with a range of camping, fishing and outdoor products suited to the needs of recreational users, travellers, families and outdoor enthusiasts.
The branch also includes store-in-store concepts featuring House of Pets(HOP), which serves pet owners and animal lovers, and SureTech, which offers security solutions, including CCTV equipment for homes, businesses and corporate systems. Through this expanded offering, Agra Safari Den serves both the local community and visitors to the coastal region.
Agra has further expanded its existing operations in Keetmanshoop with the addition of Agra Liquor. This new offering provides customers with greater convenience and access to an expanded range of products under the Agra brand.
Agra’s expansion is not only about expanding our footprint; it is also about creating meaningful opportunities for Namibians.
The expansion has created 117 new jobs across the company’s growing network. The impact of these jobs extends beyond individual employees. New employment opportunities contribute to stronger households, increased local spending and greater economic activity in the communities where Agra operates.
Agra’s commitment to its communities extends beyond its retail operations. As part of the recent branch openings and expansions, the company supported several initiatives focused on education, animal welfare and agricultural knowledge-sharing.
In Stampriet, Agra provided a bursary valued at N$28,000. The bursary will enable the recipient to study online through the Agra Agricultural Academy, specialising in either Animal Production
or Plant Production. This investment supports skills development and contributes to the future of Namibia’s agricultural sector.
In Swakopmund, Agra provided a N$10,000 sponsorship to local animal welfare organisations, including the SPCA, also known as the Tierschutzverein, and Have a Heart. The sponsorship will assist these organisations with animal healthcare, as well as neutering and spaying initiatives.
Agra ProVision also hosted an open Farmers’ Day at the Swakopmund Municipality Community Hall. The training event focused on crop production for both large- and small-scale producers. Through this initiative, Agra shared practical knowledge and promoted sustainable agricultural development.
These contributions reflect Agra’s belief that lasting development is strengthened through education, knowledge-sharing, community partnerships and practical support.
Agra’s expansion will continue throughout the year, with further developments planned in Oshakati, Walvis Bay and Windhoek.
The new revamped Windhoek branch at Auas Valley Shopping Mall, will represent a significant investment and will include a 24-hour fuel station and GoAgra Convenience Store and Agra Liquor. Agra takes great pride in investing in Namibia and its people. By expanding its national footprint, creating jobs, supporting communities and introducing new products and services, Agra is helping to build a stronger future while remaining true to its agricultural roots.
Agra is proudly Namibian, committed to its communities and dedicated to creating A Better Life.
