PRIMARY SCHOOLS SHOWCASE CREATIVITY AND TALENT

In the run up to the festive season, the Auas Valley Shopping Mall hosted a Christmas art competition, where primary schools closest to the mall were tasked to decorate Christmas trees in the mall, standing a chance to win their share of N$11,000. Delta Primary School, Kleine Professor College, Pionierspark Primary School and Suiderhof Primary School were invited to participate and prepared the décor materials for the Christmas trees in the mall over two weekends. The winning schools were announced on Saturday, 12 November 2016 at an event that took place at the Auas Valley Shopping Mall. 

Pionierspark Primary School won the first prize, walking away with N$5,000; followed by Delta Primary School who won N$3,000. Kleine Professor College came third and won N$2,000, while Suiderhof Primary School collected N$1,000.

Pupils of the participating schools, their parents and teachers, attended the prize handover, while shopping in a convenient family shopping mall. Henning Tiemann, General Manager of Agra Properties – a division that manages the mall noted that the Auas Valley Shopping Mall is always creating opportunities to involve the community. “Earlier this year, we hosted the Easter competition, where primary learners prepared décor materials that were used during the Easter season. The learners showcased their creativity and their schools were rewarded. We plan to grow this competition and make it bigger and better for all,” he proudly said.

To end the year in style, the Auas Valley Shopping Mall will host the Christmas Late Night Shopping on Thursday, 1 December 2016. The shops will be open from an additional three hours, namely from 5PM – 8PM, offering shoppers various special, promotions and demonstrations. At this occasion, members of The Land Rover Club of Namibia will also be show casing their vehicles, another opportunity not to be missed.

The Auas Valley Shopping Mall has, since its upgrade and expansion, become a popular shopping destination with the majority of the retailers being unique Namibian businesses. The mall is spacious, with a very personal touch, while traffic flow around the mall is easy and parking is free, adding to shopping pleasure and convenience.
