| Established breeds found in Namibia
today are well adapted and of high quality. The Red & White Brahman,
Simmentaler, Bonsmara, Simbra, Santa Gertrudis, Charolais, Braunvieh,
Afrikaner, Limousin, Sussex, Nguni and Angus are the most populous breeds. |

The
extensive drier southern areas of Namibia is especially suited for
small stock. It is in these
areas where the best breeding stock of Boergoat and Dorper sheep
in the world is found. These breeds are complimented with the more hardy fat tailed Van Rooy, |
| Damara, Afrikaner, Black Headed Persian and the Karakul of which the magnificent SWAKARA pelts are produced. |

the Nguni, Damara and Indigenous Goats molded by the environment into
breeds that are capable of withstanding the stresses of Africa. |
